S.N.A.P. Mission

We are an organization of and for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our purpose is to offer a variety of programs to encourage those we serve to become more independent and self reliant and to advocate for themselves to the extent possible, to provide an opportunity for social interaction and community involvement; to provide education and leadership opportunities.

S.N.A.P. History

Formerly affiliated with The ARC-national organization for people with developmental disabilities, SNAP became an independent non-profit organization in July 2006. SNAP is an all-volunteer organization governed by a Board of Directors and Elected Officers comprised of self-advocates, parents, community members, and professionals. Since we are all volunteers and our activities are held in a variety of locations, SNAP does not have a physical office. You can reach us by email, join our Facebook group, or text, or phone.
