SNAP News

The SNAP board recently voted in Jeff Myers as the new SNAP president, and Mrs. Sue Robertson will continue to serve SNAP as Vice President.  We also just had our yearly planning board meeting to layout our 2025 calendar. Some dates and locations are yet to be determined. (See the SNAP calendar below). We are also working on some Grant ideas and need your input for future fundraising ideas as well asking members to volunteer as a fundraising committee.  We need your support to continue to provide activities and events. We are also looking for sponsors and volunteers to help with events by volunteering their time or to financially sponsor an event so please share our organization with all your business friends. Thank you for your continued support! You may mail membership renewals to SNAP at 1208 S 16th ST Leavenworth Ks 66048 or bring to an event.

• February 8th ­ Dinner/Dance 6:00­-8:00pm at Riverfront Community Center

• March – No event

• April 5th – Crafts at Leavenworth Library at 1:00 pm (Kite Making and Painting) Board Meeting 30 min prior at 1230

• May­ Dinner/ Dance 6:00-­8:00 pm Date and Location TBD

• June Movie Night 6:00­8:00 pm Date and Location TBD. Board meeting 30 min prior

• July 19th Swim at Wolman Pool 11­-12:30

• August Board Meeting (Date TBD) Location: Library

• August 16th Swim at Wolman Pool 11-­12:30

• September ­ Football watch party Date and Location TBD and it is also membership renewal time  

• October Board Meeting Date and Location TBD we will finalize Barn Dance and Propose new board members)

• October 18th Autumn Dinner/Dance 6:00-­8:00pm Barn Dance (MClouth Kansas, Complete Address will be posted prior to dance) (Participants must have own transportation to and from)

• November – Movie Game Night, Date and Location TBD  

• December ­ Annual Meeting/Dinner/Dance, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Date and Location TBD

  BOARD MEETINGS:

  Our next meeting is April 5th, 1230, at the Leavenworth Library East room. This will be 30 minutes prior to the April SNAP craft event.
