SNAP News
Hello everyone,
We have had a great start to our year with our February dinner, dance, and most recently, the April craft event. Both events were great fun, so a big THANK YOU to our members for attending and our volunteers and board members. We couldn't do it without your support!
We have some updated event dates, and some dates and locations are yet to be determined. (See the SNAP calendar below). We are also working on some grant ideas and need your input for future fundraising ideas. We are asking members to volunteer as a fundraising committee. We need your support to continue to provide activities and events.
We are also looking for sponsors and volunteers to help with events by volunteering their time or financially sponsoring an event. Please share our organization with all your business friends. Thank you for your continued support!

UPCOMING EVENTS
24 April Pop up Game night 630-730 at the Leavenworth Public Library Board Games and Cards, bring your favorite game and a friend!
May-Dinner/ Dance 6:00-8:00 pm Friday 2 May at the River Front Community Center. Bring a dessert if you like.
June Movie Night 6:00-8:00 pm Date and Location TBD. Board meeting 30 min prior
July 19th Swim at Wolman Pool 11-12:30
August Board Meeting (Date TBD) Location: Library
August 16th Swim at Wolman Pool 11-12:30
September - Football watch party Date and Location TBD and it is also membership renewal time
October Board Meeting Date and Location TBD We will finalize Barn Dance and Propose new board members)
October 18th Autumn Dinner/Dance 6:00-8:00 pm Barn Dance (MClouth Kansas, Complete Address will be posted before the dance) (Participants must have own transportation to and from)

PHOTOGRAPHING OF SELF-ADVOCATES
Occasionally pictures of self-advocates are taken during SNAP activities. These are used for informational displays about our services to the community and for publicity purposes. They may be incorporated into information which will be provided to the United Way and shown to service organizations in fund raising efforts. There may be times when the photos are published in the SNAP newsletter or the local newspaper.
Before use of photos of individuals it is necessary that we have a release signed by the self-advocate or his/her parent or guardian on file. Please complete the release for this purpose.
